When traveling on New Jersey roadways, traffic is frequently backed up due to delays or heavy volume. Often times, these cramped conditions lead to unsafe driving conditions, and drivers may be forced to make split-second decisions, possibly resulting in accidents.
Life can change in the blink of an eye, as demonstrated in a terrifying car accident that injured two people in Hamilton. A New Jersey state trooper was injured in an afternoon crash on I-195 on Oct. 16 after the trooper’s vehicle collided with another car on the eastbound side of the highway near exit 3.
Reports are unclear at this time about who was at fault in the accident, as it isn’t know which car struck the other. One of the drivers involved applied the brakes suddenly to avoid a separate car accident around 4 p.m. and was struck by the other vehicle. After the crash, the trooper’s vehicle caught fire and was soon fully ablaze. Fortunately, all involved were able to clear the area around the vehicle before the fire began.
The trooper was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of a minor leg injury. The other driver also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Car accidents are scary enough, but their aftereffects can be even more troubling for those involved. Those suffering from car accident injuries are faced with the uncertainties that come with missing time from work and medical expenses. Making ends meet can become difficult for some, further adding to their troubles and frustrations. Investigating their rights to compensation is an important step for those suffering from injuries after a collision.
