Woman charged with DWI in head-on collision in East Hanover

Drunk drivers have impaired judgment, concentration, alertness and coordination and are more likely to cause an accident than sober drivers. Victims of an auto accident that results from drunk driving may sustain serious injuries or even lose their lives, and they may also suffer great financial loss. However, they can seek justice by filing a compensation claim against the negligent drivers.

A 33-year-old woman crashed her car head-on into another vehicle in East Hanover, New Jersey, on Dec. 19. The woman was traveling southbound on Ridgedale Avenue when she caused the accident at a bend. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to the Morristown Medical Center, while the three people in the other vehicle received treatment at the site of the accident.

The woman was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, and she might have fallen asleep when the crash occurred. In an interview with the police, she said that she did not know where she was and could not remember that she was involved in an accident. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and assault by auto.

Those who suffer serious injuries in an auto accident have to pay medical bills and may lose income while they recover at home, and they might find themselves in serious financial trouble. Although compensation does not make up for the pain and suffering they have to go through, it can help them avoid financial problems and get back to their normal lives sooner.
