Motorcyclist injured in crash in New Jersey

A 71-year-old man was injured while riding his motorcycle in Readington, New Jersey, when a 60-year-old female driver attempted to cross the highway and struck him. When the motorcyclist was hit by the woman’s Toyota Prius, he was sent flying off of his motorcycle and landed about 80 feet away.

Medics arrived on the scene shortly after the accident and administered first aid to both the man who was riding the motorcycle and the woman driving the car. It is believed that the man suffered a compound fracture to his leg as a result of the motorcycle accident while the woman was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The accident is still being investigated by authorities.

Motorists should make their best effort to be aware of their surroundings while driving. If they cause an accident, they may be liable for the damages caused by their negligence. In the case of this driver and motorcyclist, the woman may face serious liabilities because of her inability to spot the motorcycle rider and avoid causing an accident.

When involved in a motorcycle accident, victims may wish to hire a personal injury lawyer who has experience dealing with motorcycle accidents. Since motorcyclists can be some of the most at-risk drivers on the road, they can often have a difficult time receiving their fair share of damages when involved in an accident caused by another driver.

Victims of motorcycle accidents may consider hiring a personal injury lawyer who might help them receive all of the damages they deserve. A well-trained motorcycle injury lawyer may be able to prove that the other driver in the accident was at fault and needs to be held accountable for their actions.
