New Jersey police say that a crash on June 7 left two people with injuries when two vehicles collided. The auto accident occurred on Route 70 near Olden Street in Brick shortly before 10 p.m. It was not known if any of the drivers involved will be cited or charged.

According to law enforcement officers, a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old man was heading east. He tried to make a left-hand turn when he struck another eastbound car. The man’s car hit a traffic signal pole and a concrete barrier after the initial collision. It then overturned.

The man suffered a head injury, and he was taken via helicopter to a medical facility for treatment. On June 8, he was said to be in stable condition. The 48-year-old woman driving the second vehicle received treatment for a hand injury and abrasions. Her husband was also in the car at the time of the crash, but he did not suffer any injuries. Police did not indicate the cause of the wreck.

Injured crash victims may speak with a personal injury attorney in order to file a claim against the liable motorist for compensation of their medical bills, subsequent rehabilitative treatment and expenses to repair their vehicle. In some cases, the liable driver’s insurance providers may settle out of court, and an attorney may act as an intermediary and handle most of the negotiations with insurers. In addition, the attorney could also help prove if the liable driver was negligent by looking over police reports, witness accounts and any toxicology reports if available.
