3-vehicle motorcycle accident kills New Jersey man

In addition to cars and trucks, motorcycles can also collide with other motorcycles. Sometimes a motorcyclist may collide with both another bike and a car or truck at the same time. That is what happened at the end of June in Holmdel, New Jersey, on the Garden State Parkway, and a 38-year-old motorcyclist lost his life as a result.

Prior to his death, the motorcyclist had worked for a real estate agency. The agency, in turn, created a crowdfunding page to help his family with funeral expenses. The agency describes its one-time employee as a warm-hearted, selfless individual who frequently touched the lives of others.

It was about midday on a Sunday when the accident occurred. Responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene after he struck the back of a car and the force of the collision ejected him from his bike. The driver of the car reportedly sustained no injury. A second motorcyclist received treatment at the hospital for minor injuries, but his involvement in the accident is not altogether clear.

State authorities report that the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near the PNC Bank Arts Center at about mile marker 116. Law enforcement has yet to release further details regarding the cause of the accident

There are many potential advantages to riding a motorcycle, but the vulnerability of a rider in a crash is a distinct disadvantage. Injuries from an accident tend to be more frequent and severe for motorcyclists, which is why it may be a good idea for those injured in a collision to contact an attorney.
