It was almost exactly one year ago when actor-comedian Tracy Morgan and several of his friends were hit by a Wal-Mart tractor-trailer while traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike after a show. Morgan's close friend and mentor, James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, was killed. Morgan sustained broken bones and a traumatic brain injury from which he has been unable to fully recover. Two other friends were also injured in the wreck.

The man was thrown onto the ground by the collision, and efforts to save his life at the scene were unsuccessful. Another 63-year-old man was in the driver's seat of this vehicle at the time, and he and the BMW's driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
A hit-and-run accident that killed a woman in Camden County was caused by a driver who legally was not permitted to be behind the wheel of a car, according to authorities. On March 6, authorities released information uncovered after a New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles inquiry that was completed on the suspected driver during the auto accident investigation.The accident occurred on the night of March 3 in Haddon Township on Black Horse Pike when the victim, a 67-year-old woman, was struck and killed. The male driver who struck her fled the scene, but he was later arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
